Achilles International New Zealand provides New Zealanders with disabilities the opportunity to participate alongside able-bodied athletes in local mainstream events like Cigna Round the Bays, Taupo Half Marathon, the Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington Marathons (and more), as well as the high-profile international New York Marathon.

In New Zealand our Achilles Ambassadors not only guide disabled athletes through various marathons, but selflessly help us to raise awareness of the Achilles mission locally. The support and commitment that each Ambassador provides us significantly assists to enable numerous kiwi's with a wide variety of disabilities to enjoy the delight and self-satisfaction of participating in mainstream athletics events.
